The ski bus, the airport bus, the hotel shuttle, buses and shuttles in Levi.

Resort & regional servicesUpdated 10 May 2026

Three distinct services on one page, all year-round-aware. The Levi ski bus runs from late November to mid-April — it loops between accommodation, the gondola, and the village core on a published timetable, included free with most lift passes and many hotel stays. For a ski-focused trip, you can get away without any other transport. In summer, gondola access shifts to a reduced shuttle for hiking and biking access.

The Kittilä airport bus — Tunturilinjat — runs year-round, meets most scheduled flights, and drops at named hotels for around €12 per adult. It's the cheapest non-car arrival option and sensible for couples or solo travellers without small children. Hotel shuttles also exist at the larger properties — ask at booking, not on arrival. Long-distance bus routes (Matkahuolto, Eskelisen) connect Levi to Rovaniemi, Saariselkä, and beyond when those routes work for you.

Every day

Getting around Levi

The loop between the accommodation areas, the gondola and the village centre. This is the one you will actually use, most days of the week.

Levi ski bus

€4.00/day · card only

Two looping routes — R1 and R2 — between the accommodation areas, the gondola and the village centre through the ski season, meeting at Zero Point. Not free, and card only: there is no cash on the bus.

  • €4.00 day ticket, or €3.00 with a valid ski pass
  • A day ticket costs the same as a single, so never buy the single
  • Free with a Levi Season or Company Pass — a DAY lift pass does not include it
  • Every half hour in the main season; every 15 minutes on the R2 extra bus at peak
  • Every stop has a number; the timetable is organised by those, not by street

Twice a trip

To and from the airport

Kittilä is fifteen minutes away and the bus meets most flights. Worth checking what your accommodation already runs before you book anything.

    Hotel shuttles

    Often included

Several Levi properties run their own shuttles for arrivals, transfers, and gondola access. Ask at the time of booking — these are usually included or low-cost when offered, but not all hotels run one.

    • Confirm with your hotel before booking a separate transfer
    • Often included for package-tour stays (TUI, Crystal Ski, Inghams)
    • Aurora properties (e.g. Northern Lights Village, Levin Iglut) frequently include them

Once, if at all

Coaches from the south

For arrivals through Helsinki or Rovaniemi rather than direct to Kittilä. Long, cheap, and a real option when the direct flights are full.
